"Born in 1985, Samuel Behar began to play the trumpet
in 1992 at the age of 7. Even at that young age, he realized that the
trumpet was not the instrument for him. He stumbled around in an instrument
storage cabinet at his middle school until he tripped over a large case...inside,
was his fate. The Tuba and Sam became entwined in a symbiotic relationship that would bring them together 200 miles south of his hometown of Thousand Oaks, CA to his new home in San Diego to attend San Diego State University as a Music Education major. One day, a strange man called Sam, his name was Nathan Hubbard. He told Sam of a magical place where the flowers grow upside-down, and the water is bright orange (not really, but that's what Sam heard). Sam was tricked summarily into joining this wonderful group. He has been a prisoner, I mean, a member, for about a year and a half now." |
